Grant Writer

Homefront Heroes Ministries is currently seeking a Grant Writer to join our mission to bring the Hope of the Gospel to every military wife.

As a member of our team, you will be supported every step of the way and welcomed into an environment that prioritizes a counterculture pace of production. We don't hustle ourselves to the ground around here. Instead, we work together to create realistic deadlines that keep our mission moving forward and our families healthy. 

This position is responsible for working alongside our founders to develop a foundational grant.
You will create proposal budgets, conduct grant research, develop our proposal, and oversee submission, reporting, and compliance.

This role will work closely with our leadership and content team to secure funding that supports our mission. 

Key Responsibilities

Grant Strategy & Research

Identify and research prospective funding opportunities aligned with our mission and goals.

Communicate deadlines, reporting requirements, and renewal opportunities with our founders.

Proposal Development & Submission

Write, edit, and submit a compelling grant proposal that accurately represents the heart, mission and vision of Homefront Heroes Ministries. This will include a letter of inquiry and application.

Collaborate with our leadership team to understand the story of Homefront Heroes Ministries, and gather grant information to include data, budgets, and proven ministry impact.

Ensure all submissions meet funder guidelines and deadlines.

Grant Management & Compliance

Communicate grant compliance requirements and best practices with leadership team to ensure accurate management of grant funding after project completion. 

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, public administration, writing or related field preferred. 

Demonstrated strong organizational skills and understanding of the Homefront Heroes Mission and Vision

3–5 years of experience in grant writing and grant management preferred.

Demonstrated success securing foundation and/or government grants.

Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.

Desire to contribute to our team environment that is joyful, healthy, and driven. 

 

Compensation: This is a remote, project-based position with opportunity for future projects.
